Why does this matter, you might ask? Doesn't grammar "not count" online and in text messages? Sure--if you're just chatting with your friends. But when those bad habits bleed over onto your business communications or website content, you're affecting the public face of your brand.

It's all about branding

Branding is usually defined as the idea or image used to identify the name of your business. In most cases it represents the goods or services you are offering; in a way your intention should be to show your solution to someone's problem.

The companies that have the most success on social media are using these networks as outlets to tell their story. In other words, they're being authentic, humanizing their brand, and communicating NOT just about their products and services, but about the company personality.

Does grammar "not count" online and in text messages? Sure--if you're just chatting with your friends. But when those bad habits bleed over onto your business communications or professional social media posts, then you're affecting the public face of your brand.

Today, the internet is being used more than ever before. Every business needs to have a website, not only to promote their products but also to attract new users who will become customers.
